Nurseries and Pre-Schools

Our unique Mini-Movers programme is designed to support the full EYFS framework in an enjoyable and physically active way.

We work with Nurseries and Pre-Schools throughout Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire through sessions that are child centred and designed to run weekly, monthly or individual sessions.

The Mini-Movers programme will develop children holistically, focusing on the 3 prime areas:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Communication and language
  • Physical development

In addition, Mini-Movers will also cover the 4 Specific Areas within the EYFS framework

  • Literacy
  • Understanding of the World
  • Mathematics
  • Expressive Arts and Design

Children will be excited at topics such as:

  • Animals and People
  • All about me
  • Books and Stories
  • Pirates and Space
  • Seasons and Weather
  • Sport, Music and Dance

To make the sessions fun as well as educational we have Marvin our Mini Mover Monkey Mascot who loves Healthy Eating and being active. Marvin is designed to help encourage children to be active and healthy and more importantly want to do this independently.

The Sportscape Mini Movers programme is the ideal way to link physical development to personal, social and emotional development of children between the ages of 2-5. Through our child led learning, children are also encouraged to problem solve, and to be creative. Our unique coaching sessions also cater for children to explore communication, literacy and numeracy.

Session plans are also available for Nurseries and Pre-Schools and can be supported with CPD for practitioners.

Sportscape also run a unique MiniKickers project that introduces children from as young as 2 years old to basic football skills through the Early Years Framework.
